Why We Partner

PMI partners with WA SkillsUSA to promote careers and skills in manufacturing and the trades.

As a national leader in school-based extracurricular programs that develop skills such as welding, machining, manufacturing, CNC, programming, and hundreds of others, it's an easy fit.

PMI assists with Welding Fabrication, Welding Sculpture, and Welding programs at regional competitions (Eastern WA) and with the WA State Welding Sculpture. It's a great way to promote manufacturing and the trades, connect with students, build relationships with teachers and schools, and know what's going on with future graduates.

It really is an effective way for employers to get connected to and in front of students who are directly interested in a career pathway to their businesses!

Your Opportunity

SkillsUSA is the easiest way to connect with your best candidates!

The students participating in SkillsUSA are there because they want to be there.  They join to learn, improve, and develop skills related to careers in manufacturing, engineering, the trades, and other career and technical education (CTE) pathways.

When employers get involved, it's a chance to mentor students directly and connect with them. You get to know them, influence their growth, work with them, and even hire them through work-based learning opportunities.

PMI can help you connect with the right students and engage them effectively.  Your PMI sponsorship to support SkillsUSA will help us continue delivering the services that grow the talent you need for your workforce.
