OUR STORY

Let's Try Something New

The Institute began with a vision to inspire young men and women to explore the thrill of careers in advanced manufacturing.

We know manufacturing holds so many opportunities. America was built on inventiveness, entrepreneurship, and a spirit of creation. Our ability to innovate sets us apart, and students can succeed in careers where they can be inventive, productive, and do things with their hands.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough opportunities to try out these careers. We talk about advanced manufacturing, but until you see, feel, and "do cool stuff," you'll never know what is possible.

Do Something Awesome

The Institute exposes high school students to career possibilities in the trades. We can't make you a full technician or welder in just 3 weeks. However, you'll gain new skills related to tools, operations, time management, communication, customer service, business, planning, design, quality, and much more.

We pack in as much as we can to give you first-hand exposure to soft skills and technical skills. You'll improve your teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. This life-changing opportunity allows you to dive in and experience what it's like to be in a real work environment, making real products and having a real manufacturing experience.
